Fun weekends!

Mitch and Shanley came to visit last
weekend and we had so much fun!
We did a bunch of stuff, stayed up
way too late, and joked around a lot.
We always have to go to two places
when Mitch comes. Subaru dealership
and Chipotle. At the Subaru dealership
we made a new friend with the car
salesman, he's close to our age, and
I like harassing him. He liked us though.

Mitch's 26th birthday was on Sunday
while he was visiting us, and I was going
to make him a fabulous cake. We got so
crazy and stayed up so late so many times
in a row, that I forgot. :( Poor Mitch.
He made his own birthday cake, all by
himself, it turned out dang good though!

We went to the hanging lakes tunnels while
they were here. Hanging lakes tunnels is like
a command station for Curtis. Since he works
for the state of Colorado he gets called out when
there's accidents or rock/mud slides, and they
are the ones that do it. They also run the interstate
through the tunnel. It feels pretty 007ish because
they moved traffic to only the right lane on the
freeway so that we could go through the door in
the left lane in the cement tunnel. Mitch was
freaking out saying, "They're doing that for us?"
It was pretty cute. Hanging Lakes Tunnel also
has like a bomb shelter in it, it's pretty cool.
The picture below is of me shutting down the
interstate, yeah, they let me do that! It's kind
of only my butt though, so sorry.

We also went to Glenwood's hot springs pool.
It is the largest hot springs pool in the world.
It takes up 2 city blocks! The pool is always between
90-93 degrees, and they have a therapy pool that
averages 104 degrees, it's pretty awesome! It was
cold outside though and it was hard to keep Sophie's
head and face warm, so we had to call it quits a little
early.

Sophie holding onto the edge in the pool.

All of us with the snowy mountains
in the background.

Sophie was so interested in what was going on.

Curtis, trying to get Sophie to smile.

Mitch and Sophie.

Mitch fed Sophie a lemon at Chipotle. She cried
when we took it away.

Shanley and Sophie.

Shanley is wonderful of course and took some
new family pictures of us, these are my favorites.
Thanks a bunch Shanley!

You are gorgeous Ricci! I liked how you described the weekend a little more in-depth. That was sweet when you got to shut down the interstate. We had a blast and we sure do love ya!
